April Wedding!?! Ok, I’m finally settled in Portland, temporarily, and it’s time to play blog catch-up. I’ll continue to blog my Portland happenings in real time…
*cough cough
…ok a slight delay…
But for reals, I’ll blog the Oregon weddings as they happen and sprinkle some Mexican-wedding flavor in between.
THIS wedding was the last April wedding I second shot for Elizabeth Lloyd down in Vallarta. So after this I’ve only got, like, a dozen more to go!
The bride was Kilee, the voice of Happy Hour Bride, and the wedding was spectacular down to the detail. I officially love Aussies. Adrian, the groom, and his mates were some of the most warm-hearted and fun people I’ve ever met and you could see how a metropolitan girl like Kilee could fall in love with a country boy from the Australian outback.
The two started their weekend off in PV with a welcome dinner and bonfire at Dreams Vallarta. On the wedding day, while Elizabeth shot Kilee getting ready at her amazing villa, I shot Adrian and the boys getting ready at Dreams. The ceremony was held at Hacienda San Ángel’s chapel, an intimate location furnished with antique monastery relics. Then it was back to their Conchas Chinas villa for the reception.
Props to Ed Fladung of Quality Peoples fame for killing all the architecture and set-up photography at the villa before we arrived.
Awesome photos for an awesome couple. CLICK BELOW TO CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS (53 Photos Total)
These next few shots are from their welcome dinner at Dreams Vallarta. That’s Adrian on the left.

How awesome are S’mores at a wedding?
Wedding time.

Just a few moments before Kilee walks down the aisle.
The Aussies wanted to Americanize the wedding so they started the wave!
While Elizabeth shot Kilee and Adrian I took off with the guests and followed the mariachi band down the hill to our waiting bus.
Spectacular views from the reception villa towards the north.

The two were married on Anzac Day, one of the most important days in Australia. Jonesy, the best man, couldn’t let this day pass without a emotional song about Australian veterans that brought nearly everyone to tears. That’s Adrian holding the mic.
I miss tacos al pastor. mmmm soooooo gooooood.
