Today I had imaginary rental car problems. Or at least that’s how I explained it to the guy at Avis when I returned the car an hour late. But before it was an imaginary problem, it was a real problem when I called the Avis help line, communicating in my best spanish what was wrong with my little white Ford Focus.
While I waited for a mechanic my real problem turned into an imaginary problem when I realized my real problem was that my parking break was halfway on which explained why the tire was sticking, which explained the noise, which explained the Mexican yelling at me from the sidewalk and telling me it’s not safe to drive on the road like that.
And now I completely agree; it is not safe to drive on the road with your parking break halfway on.
After that, how could I not have the best day ever? Got some fresh orange juice for twelve pesos. Hit up Marisma for some fish tacos, spent a few hours shooting my holga in the main Vallarta cemetary, pan dulce, nap, sun, ect….
This really is the first day I’ve had to myself in quite a while. Shot three days in a row in PV coming off a rowdy Oregon Lacrosse Alumni weekend plus Saturday night’s BIG BIG WIN over USC at Autzen, Eugene, Oregon, LOUdnessssss. Yea, I was there.
Back to the states on Sunday, and back to blogging a few weddings, including some new Mexico bodas.
